Joerg Kohring is a dedicated guitar educator with more than 25 years of teaching experience in individual, group, and ensemble settings. After completing his master’s degree in music at the Akademie für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart, he went on to teach at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, where he instructed courses in Harmony & Theory, Ear Training, Single String, Live Playing Workshops, and guitar recording. Drawing from his extensive background as a touring and session guitarist, Joerg brings real-world musical insight into every lesson. His teaching philosophy centers on building strong technical and theoretical foundations while inspiring each student’s passion for creativity, confidence, and lifelong musicianship.
