Born into a family of musicians, John’s love and passion for music was embedded in him from an early age. He started playing the violin at the age of seven and it quickly became evident that he is very talented. In fact, at only fifteen years old, he had a solo performance with the philharmonic orchestra of Armenia.

John graduated from the Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan, with a master’s degree, in 1980. Immediately after graduating, John began his music career with the Chamber Orchestra as concertmaster. At the same time, he was teaching at the Violin Music College of Yerevan.

Later, John joined the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra as principal of second violins. He had the pleasure of traveling around the world with the orchestra and performed in Germany, France, Spain, Sweden, Austria, Greece and many other countries.

In the United States, John, along with the orchestra, performed at world-renowned venues such as the Carnegie Hall in New York, Symphony Hall in Boston and the Kennedy Center in Washington.

Since moving to the United States in 2000, John has played with the Pasadena Orchestra and was the principal of second violins for the Glendale Philharmonic Orchestra. He also had a solo performance with the Huntington Beach Orchestra.

Throughout the years, John has been teaching violin to students of various ages.
